After graduated, Gita straightly worked in architecture consultant, Antony Liu + ___/Studio Tonton starting from 2010 until 2017. She decided to took a break after delivering her first born. At that time, she put aside the dream of running her own architecture consultant. As she enjoyed her new role of being a mother, she explored other new fields beside architecture. On 2018 she started to make a comeback in architectural project and eventually starting her own consultant on 2021, gitasumitra architect.

gitasumitra architect was established through personal discovery from its founder. The project ranges between private residential to public architecture with dominant influence of basic geometry and minimalism. gitasumitra architect aims to create modest architecture yet strong in its character that has equal attention both in massing and detail.
